About

The Connecticut Center for Teaching (CFT) was established in 1987 as a vehicle to promote teaching excellence through the sharing of ideas, the interaction of faculty members on individual campuses, and the creation of coordinated professional development opportunities for the Connecticut Community College system.

Connecticut’s CFT offers annual conferences and programs focused on specific themes, local programs addressing individual college needs, and intensive teaching workshops stressing active learning pedagogy. All of these programs reflect a desire for inter-college collaboration and a need for shared resources, both creative and financial.

The current Chair of the Connecticut Statewide Center for Teaching is Professor Sharon Gusky (NCCC).  You may reach her at sgusky@nwcc.edu.
